WhyLose.com is a trading name for the services of Carlyle and Day and its subsidiaries and representative companies.

Tax Refund process

After a client submits all required documents to Carlyle and Day or to Carlyle and Day’s claims’ handlers, all documents are passed o­n to the claims’ handlers Tax processing office.

Once documents are received at the claims’ handlers processing office, the client receives notification by e-mail and text, informing them about the estimated refundable amount. (If the client does not receive such notification, he/she should contact Carlyle and Day at go@WhyLose.com).

Later all documents are analysed and tax refund declarations are sent to tax authorities.

After the refund is received, Carlyle and Day informs the client (by e-mail) that money has been transferred to clients provided bank account or personal check is issued.

Carlyle and Day bears no responsibility for the tax refund if:

- The refund was already claimed or applied for;
- The customer has already received a refund;
- The customer owes money to the relevant tax office;
- The information provided by the customer is false, inaccurate, incorrect, different from what the relevant tax authority has, insufficient or misleading in any way;
- The tax authority information leads to a decision that the customer is not due a refund.

Refund amount

All the calculated refundable amounts are o­nly estimated. These estimated amounts are based o­n the average refund amount of similar cases from the previous tax years. The final refundable amount is calculated and issued by the tax authorities of the particular tax authority.

Where there is a change in the applicable tax law in the country from which the tax refund is being reclaimed, or in the interpretation or implementation of the rules and laws by the tax authorities of that country, Carlyle and Day will meet its commitment to organise the refund to the degree allowed by the law, interpretation and implementation by the tax authority in that country. The decision of the exact value of any refund due or amount owed is the decision of the relevant Tax Authority.

Refund Period

Carlyle and Day through its agents will provide the refund as expediently as possible, subject to the provision of the necessary documents by the customers and the efficient processing of the refund application by the relevant tax office.

The refund period posted o­n Carlyle and Day’s webpage and published in different Carlyle and Day advertising material is the most common period for tax refunds but it might be either longer or shorter. It depends o­n the documents that client has provided as well as the operating speed of the tax authorities.

Although the time needed by taxing authorities is not under the control of Carlyle and Day, we strive to obtain your refund in the shortest time possible.

Commission fee

Carlyle and Day will not charge any upfront commission to the client. Carlyle and Day fees will be deducted from the refundable amount before the refund is issued to the client.

Carlyle and Day commission fee is posted in this webpage and other Carlyle and Day advertising material.

The client agrees to compensate Carlyle and Day for filing for a tax refund. If the relevant tax authority sends the refund cheque directly to the customer instead of sending it to Carlyle and Day, the customer still must pay the relevant fee to Carlyle and Day.

For additional value-added services provided by Carlyle and Day to the client, additional fees will be charged to cover associated administrative and management costs. Such additional services include, but are not limited to, document retrieval, personal number (e.g. SSN, PPS, NIN, etc.) verification, residency and non-residency document organisation where relevant, amendment preparation for previous returns, and certain payment options. For information about the fee for the additional services rendered for an individual case, the client should email Carlyle and Day at go@WhyLose.com.

Issuing refund to the client

The refund is issued to the client using the information, which was provided by the client o­n the form downloaded from this website..

If client’s address or bank information changes, client is obligated to inform Carlyle and Day as soon as possible at go@whylose.com. Carlyle and Day is not responsible if a transfer is made or cheque is mailed to a wrong client’s bank account or address.

Carlyle and Day is not responsible for any fees charged by the client’s bank or the correspondent bank for a bank transfer.

Other provisions

Carlyle and Day communicates with clients via e-mail(s) to the e-mail address provided by the client. The client should check his/her e-mail regularly for updates o­n refund status.

Unless requested to do otherwise by the client, Carlyle and Day will advise current and past clients of all new services that they may avail of with Carlyle and Day and all new services offered by Carlyle and Day and associated companies.

Carlyle and Day reserves the right, at its discretion, to make changes to any part of the Site, its related services and Terms and Conditions should the need arise.

Such changes will be posted will be posted on this page and you can subscribe to be notified anonymously of changes at the update link on this or any page.

The submission of a registration to Carlyle and Day or its claims handlers, by web, post, hand, or email, constitutes agreement to these Terms & Conditions, including amendments thereto, by the customer.

Carlyle and Dayensures that all client information is held as private and confidential.
